About Me

Hi I am Jolie West, owner of Jolie West Photography.  I like long walks on the beach and gazing off into the sunset.  Who am I kidding? 🙂  I live a crazy, fantastic, exciting life of being a photographer and a mom and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. 😉

When I am not playing mommy role you can find me behind the lens specializing in Birth Stories/ Fresh 48, Newborns, Children, Seniors and Small Families. My love for photography runs deep within my soul.  If I could I would eat, sleep and dream about what piece of art I would like to create next.  In fact I can often be found doing these things.  There is nothing more beautiful more inspiring to me than being able to tell your story.

I am also a prop junkie!  When I say prop junkie I mean, “PROP JUNKIE”.  I am always buying something that inspires me and that I think will be awesome for pictures.  Just ask my husband and after you see my stash tell him I need more. 😉  What does this mean for you?  Well it means I have studio cram packed with tons of things for you to use during your season.

I love that photography has the ability to transport you back to the exact moment it was taken.  Don’t believe me?  Go grab a picture from around the house and see if your mind doesn’t go back to that moment.  This is why photography is so important to us all.  It helps to preserve those moments, those memories.  Anywhere from how perfect our newborns fit into our arms, to the moment they tasted cake for the first time, to when they graduate high school and start their own journey.  Photography has the power to move us and preserve those memories for generations to come.

When I am not capturing your special moments I am making some of my own with my husband and 3 children. We love snow shoeing, bike riding, 4 wheeling and just being crazy together. I would not be where I’m at today without the support of my amazing husband and children.
